Has anyone heard anything about substantial wind damage in the Seattle or Pacific Northwest areas? My wife saw something on the weather channel last night or the night before.
(It's a LOOONNNGGGG drive from Virginia!) |

Chances are, if it was on the weather channel, one house had 2 shingles missing. They have a great reputation of blowing everything up into a major disaster. The funny thing is, 90% of the storms I've worked never got mentioned on TWC.
If you are in VA, why are you looking for work. Everyone I know is working the VB area. |

I have relatives in Seattle so I was just curious, although it is the nature of a "storm-chaser" to always wonder where the next 'disaster' is taking place! I never watched The Weather Channel at all until I got into the insurance business back in '96.
I have closed over 70 files in the 17 days I have been here in Newport News and my guy is running out of stuff from his carriers although he does have a major special account he wants to put me on. The weather is beautiful here and with my wife coming up Saturday for the week, I think I can hold out for a while longer. |

Well, up here in Vancouver (which is about 2.5 hours north of Seattle), we've had heavy rain for the last day and a half or so. I believe our Claims department received over 100 claims today, most of them water related. I finished up the day with 6 water and 1 fire loss. The weather report was anticipating winds, but luckily they never materialized. |

Just a thought, but has anyone heard about the claims generated by hurricane Juan? I'll be finishing up here by the end of the week, might as well go alittle farther north ya know... |
