| can anyone please tell me what city and state has the most recent MAJOR wind and hail damage? How big was the hail? Thanks for any help. |

| What do you define as "recent"? If you are talking about this year, then there aren't any. Last year Dallas had some pretty good hail. |

| Thanks Kile Anderson for the reply. I see 35 others viewed the message but were not as nice as you were to reply. I see hail all over the weather charts as like 2.50 inches, then you call that city and they say "MM, no hail here like that". Kinda misleading so I thought i would see what others know. Thanks again |

Buddy, many times the reports from some of these weather reporting services aren't truly a very good indicator of whether there is going to be work for cat adjusters.
Obviously, the larger hail storms will pretty quickly become known around here with posts to CADO from adjusters dispersed around the country.
As a suggestion, why not visit http://www.google.com/ click on the "News" banner at the top of the page, then click on "News Alerts" on the left side of the page, and then register your interest in "hail storms" and/or "hail", and then any stories appearing in any of the newspapers in the United States related to "hail storms" or "hail" will be automatically emailed to you as they appear in news print from anywhere in the US.
This service is free and it also includes notification when a story appears on a local television station anywhere in the US as well.
It's a pretty nifty service, and most of the time, the local newspapers are going to be your best first source in finding out where the big ones hit.

Buddy, the hail may have been spotty and could have hit in the middle of nowhere.
An example is the recent hail in Hot Springs, AR. The local office of one of the major carriers only received less than 70 claims. Not enough to declare a cat or call in independents. |
