Ghost wait til that hog gets its snout in the trough and its going to turn North maybe even NE. Alan and I have been working on a MoJo. I boiled my old yellow bob tailed cat and got three bones that would float up stream. Keep the faith. This thing is going to be around a while before it gets up here. This could even be a repeat of the one that crossed Fla and went up the East Coast. Does any one think this cain is going to have an increase in diameter like Hugo? JUST SAY NO!!!!!! |

Well Ghost, I've had two good laughs today. First, Jack Schitt came knocking on my inbox - just how do people think of things like that? That is real talent, to be able to make one's mind work like that. Then you come along tonight in better humor.
Anybody that drives a Lincoln is welcome to park beside my little nest of Fords. My Mrs cann't cook, but she knows how to pour wine, and I always have some cold Coronos in the icebox. We'd welcome the two ladies, maybe I could talk them into sitting for some of my Willie Nelson videos, and we could dip french bread into some local maple syrup. I think kindly and highly of the two ladies in question, but I don't think they are up to the task of out nagging the principal nagger and dishwasher at this cabin in the urban jungle.
But, it is not me who is your demon pushing the cool fronts. Look away up on the right hand corner of your atlas, an inch (a.k.a. 2.54 cm) or so south of Greenland depending on the scale. It is the Newf's out on that rock, who speak the funny language cus they consume too much of something called Screech.
We just took them Newf's into our confederation in 1949, and part of their immigration lessons (aside from how to get the best Dole in the land) is to be told at least 4 times a week that Uncle Sam is our good neighbour, and we should always try and help and protect in our ever unique conciliatory and nonconfrontational ways. So, since our subs have leaks, the few frigates cann't take the big waves, and all (well all isn't really a lot) our forces wear the same color uniform; the boys on the Rock sent a telegram last night saying they were all going to stand on the flat side of the rock, try and figure out where SW was and all blow in unison. If they managed to accomplish that, give them a break, they got no more cod to catch anymore. |

Believe me, I ain't the one Jinxn it. I've been telling everyone that will listen that it will go into mexico. I've put every piece of lawn furniture and potted plant I own outside. I've eaten up all the canned goods and drank all the water in the house. I've worn out all my batteries and cluttered up the garage so the ole war waggon won't fit in it. I'm as unprepared as anyone can be for a hurricane, so as you can see I'm doing all I can to draw Izzy north. I'd appreciate any help you guys can give. I've only got so many lawn chairs. |

IZZY is without a doubt coming to the northern Gulf --- friday 9/26 and will make landfall in Lousiana.
take this to the bank folks. I know this one folks. I am fairly certain as I can be at this timeframe. This ranks up there with my Floyd forecast from a few years ago when I forecasted a NC landfall when everyone and their Mom was forecasting a FL hit.

Clayton, if this hits you may not be home to tap your maple trees. (March?) Ghost i have been so lazy I haven't even finished unpacking from mold, I rvrn took the beast in for a tune up. Newt, Please give us the history on boiling a cat and floating the bones! DT, I'm picking up map books for Louisina, I know how conservative you are in forcasting hits. A question, TD 12, the GLFD shows is looping back to the SW, Any idea where it will go and is there anychance of development of the CV wave. |

It has to be a black cat, therefore I had to get out the shoe polish and dye my yellow one with no tail. You got to boil all the meat off the bones and throw them in the creek. I takes a few minutes of close observation. All the bones that go up stream will make good mojos. The speed at which they go up stream tells you their power. I used one of mine last night to conjure up an inch of rain. Today I am going to use it to get a keylime pie. That weather man is pretty close with my mojo, it say's beware of Lake Charles. Some times a mojo will take on an evil cast and lie like the owner. On this day in 1949 I arrived in Newfoundland , at Argentia and the wind was blowing, it was blowing when I left in 1951. I had to fight a forest fire the day before I left on FOX Island. Ft McAndrew was home base. Had to spend a lot of time in Labrador,Baffin Island, Greenland and Iceland and all points. The Newfies were good people and I got along great with the exception of screech, Moose Ale, and near beer which was no beer at all. Moose was 17%alcohol and 100% head ache. As their favorite espression goes"sweet barefooted Jesus bye" Bye is boy with a little b. |

In case for some of you who do not understand when the Canooks make fun of the Newfs it is a fun thing , the Newfs are the red necks and proud of it. They play the game for all its worth. |

Every Newfie I have ever meet has one leg shorter then the other, happens because they are always leaning into the wind when the walk. |

Something I noticed Mark, you always got a head wind and the sudden stops especailly on ice you aways end up on the ground. The wind can and does stop for a few seconds completely and you're gonna bite the ice no way out. The Newfs around St.Johns have the shorter leg ,the ones on the argentia side tilt forward several degrees. The ones around Stephenville don't swing their arms when they walk. I sure liked them folks.Quebec was another story. |

I am a rookie in this field and have taken courses at Vale National, the Pilot training package, Farmers, California Earthquake, FWUA and have licenses for Mississippi and Texas. Every time I see adjusters wanted on the job listings, you got to have five years or more experience to apply.
Can anyone help a new guy trying to get into the fold of getting that experience. If Isidore hits landfall near Louisiana or Mississippi, I am less than a hour away. I do have my resume on the CADO list but I have not had any work related adjusting yet as most adjusters have not in awhile.
Looking for the opportunity,

Well, Wolf when the big one hits they will take any warm body, especially one with a couple of licenses and some education. So don't worry. Like most people I got my foot in the door when the supply of seasoned adjusters ran dry and they began looking for people to fill the slots.
Speaking of getting your foot in the door, the latest projected track for Izzy from the NHC is beginning to show the Northwest turn everyone has been talking about. If you are on the Texas or Louisiana coasts, keep your eyes and ears open. It could be coming your way. |

Best guess is tha tit will go north, but where is kyle going, he is slowing and starting a loop to the SW. And td 13 will soon be Lillie and don't look now but the wave behind it is showing developement, it now has a T number. Wonder what the record is for named storms in septmber. Dr Greys 8-3-1 looks weak as we are at 11-2-1 and more to come |

The message was IT IS GOING TO BE BAD then they came out with it is not going to be so bad, now they will have to change to its is BAD. They should have stuck with the first instinct. |

Newt better boil up another cat or 2. Unoffical forcast. Isidore is now in the gulf of mexico. He may or may not make landfall on the Yucatan before entering or not entering the BOC. From there he could travel somewhere between SW to ESE and may or may not make a landfall on the continental US somewhere between Brownsville and Naples with wind speeds between 75mph and 155 mph. Unless of course Isidore decides to do something not called for in the forcast. |

Joe Bastardi of Accuweather says that the longer Izzy stays on the Yucatan the more chance it has of turning north. He is calling for a landfall in Louisiana on Thurs. If Izzy interacts with land it will slow down it's forward speed and stay right where it is just long enough for the conditions to change to pull it north. He thinks it will be a strong cat 2 maybe a cat 3 when it hits LA. |
