Idi Amin,Saddam,Iotolla, Somalia, Liberia, South Africa, all the war factions along the equator if they quack like a duck, they may be chickens, I stand corrected. I still remember the guys they dragged through the streets in Somallia, those were our guys. Thats were I get the word savage, maybe I should have said those misguided souls. When they go into a village and hack up men, women and kids with axes it makes it hard to put a lable on them, that would call them anthing but what they are. We dont have people this brutal, except in rare cases.
What was the rationality behind 9/11, there were no demands, you can't deal with them on that basis, it is pure hate and a warped mind. Makes you appreciate the smell of Crispy Critters and Napalm. If I am being too blunt moderate it. I try not to say anything negative about adjusters, vendors, carriers or any others that post here. But the enemies of this country or tyrants are fair game.
I've seen mad men turn people into savages, that was the product of ,Hitler, Tojo, Stalin, and Ho Chi Minh and many others in my lifetime. I'm not sure about Jimmy Carter the jury is still out:>) How about the General in Argentina, he had hundreds killed maybe thousands. His henchmen were nothing short of savage. Because I lable the continant of Africa as savages is not ment to be racist, its a state of conduct led by mad men, just as Japan and Germany had their savages during WWII. This will never change, only the locations will change. That being said, the relegion of Islam will always produce mad men, they believe the Koran to the letter then add to it.
this makes it hard on this nation because we want everybody to be as free as we are in North America, Austrailia and The British Isles we are the bleeding hearts of the world, and it only makes more enemies. |

| Jimmy Carter while not being a great president was a good man, his cabinet left a lot to be desired and people accused him of micro managing his office, the truth be known, he had to do it him self. Fair is fair. I'll get a lot of flack from this how ever, think about it first. His elected office was filled with incompetance. Being a nice guy he never sacked anyone. He was left hanging with the high Gasoline prices, inflation and intrest rates that cannot be attributed to a president. He can only encourage people and lead by example. The treaty he forged between Egypt and Israel was and still the treaty of the century. I didn't vote for the man but he was a gentleman President. |

Ya know something, Kiddies...here is a little perspective on the French bashing going on now. Let's not forget that the French turned the Germans at the Marne in 1914 and how they stopped them cold at Verdun. Did you know the hills around Verdun still reek of the smell of death after nearly a century? Did you know that what really defeated Napoleon was the Russian winter? Have you ever heard of the exploits of the French Foreign Legion?
Please understand, I have no French blood in my ancestry and enjoy the reciprocal snobbery games played between the U.S. and France. But, please realize the French are not cowards any more than the Scots in their kilts are sissies or that all women from Oregon are hairy legged, over fed manhaters.
Let's have a little historical perspective. From the begining of the American Republic, the U.S. soldiers worst enemy has been the diplomats of the U.S. State Department and the demented ambitions of the Commander-in-chief of the day. |

| Sorry to disagree with you Ghost, but todays French are a bunch of ungreatful cowards. Let's remember that Napoleon was a Corsican, not a Frenchman. The French army fell to Germany in a few short weeks then sunk their own navy rather than join the allies then helped to round up the Jews and Gypsies in France so the Germans would like them. They are apeasers and care nothing about nothing more than the safety of France. Unlike Great Brittain, France is an ally only when France needs an Ally. Which to me sounds more like a parasite than an ally. |

| Nothing simple about Newts comments they were to the point, and in your rush to brand anyone who isn't motivated by hate (there are logial reasons to remove Sadam) you start throwing around the right wing word for satan (LIBERAL). Typical rushamaniac attitude, it wasn't hate to call Moslems dogs or Africans cockroachs; it was funny. I just find it sad. And if it makes it easy for you to look in the mirror go head call me a liberal, I can live with it. |

I'm sorry Mark, while I think Newt's comments are over the top and I don't endorse them in any way, I don't think they should automatically be construed as hate. Slander maybe.
Hate is a word bandied about much too much by the left side of the political spectrum. Any time someone does not agree with a politically protected class of people they are accused of hate. Now they want to have an entirely different class of crime called a hate crime which has stiffer penalties than a regular crime. Please tell me why someone who beats someone to death because they love them should get a lighter sentence than a person who does it because they hate the victim?
While we are on the whole business of hate crimes on this Iraq thread, why don't these liberals want to go after Sadam for his hate crimes? I guess only American, white, males are capable of hate crimes. |

I buy my gas from the Murphy Station in the Wal-Mart and Sam's parking lots. Murphy is a relatively small company based in Arkansas and their new oil fields are in the ocean off Malaysia.
Money is what makes the world go round. Let't join with John and deny our money to the middle east. Oh and in this day and age there is no need to send troops or inspectors to Iraq or any where else. All we need is the proper electronics in the proper place. |

Just a follow-up on my original post. I do believe in allowing, for a time, diplomacy and the inspectors to work. No one wants to go to war but if war it is, let's give George W. 110% support and get it over with as quickly as possible. Let's use all means to do what we can from the air before our troops start going door-to-door.
I read somewhere that groups of Americans are traveling to Iraq, invited by their government, to stay close to some of our intended vital targets should we go to war. What's with that? These folks are no better than John Walker, the young and confused individual who was caught in Afganistan. And, if and when they return, should be held just as accountable as Walker in their support for Terror.
As for the French response to this crisis, the last time they wanted to wait for a "smoking gun" it turned out to be mounted on a turret on a German tank rolling down the Champs Elysées under the Arc de Triomphe! |

We can only hope they will be held accoutable.......but if history repeats itself, they will not....after all we did NOTHING TO THE TRAITOR JANE FONDA.......She should have been thrown out of this country for what SHE CAUSED TO HAPPEN TO AMERICAN POWS at the Hannoi Hilton during Viet Nam........I pray to God that she gets her just rewards and burns in HELL.... |
