Pineville, huh? I was going thru some old things and came across my first grade report card from Pineville Elementery in 1956. It says my decorum needs improvement and I have a tendency to fling the cardboard cap from the milk bottle.
My tendencies for nonconformity go way back.
(What's that you say? They won't know what you mean about the cap on the milk bottles?)
OK, for the younger set, back in the good ol' days when men were men, and women appreciated us, ( and that was a long time ago!), real 100 octane milk came in real glass bottles. They were sealed with a waxed cardboard disc that was set into the mouth of the bottle. A small precut tab was lifted to remove the cap. Now...in elementery school, milk came in 1/2 pint glass bottles that was chilled at the dairy and served to us hooligans along with the usual school cafeteria fare.
What would always happen was the milk bottle caps became mini-frisbees and would start flying across the cafeteria like miniature flying saucers from the planet Mars! It was all great fun until one would land in Margrets hair or bounce off Penelopes lunch box then all Hell would break loose. |

Ghost, I went to Paradise Elementary. Born and raised in Ball. Scattered hail in Alex., should know by today how many claims. |
The grass is always greener on the other side, but it still has to be mowed! |

Pea sized hail and 45mph winds from Gulfport to the New Orleans area. Everyone I have talked to says "no damage". Channel 7 reported some wind damage in the Folsom (spl?) area on the north side of Lake Pontchartrain.
Boy, was I excited (for a few minutes) when I saw that green cloud. |
