I recently tried to contact Xactware to get my disc sent to me for the new company I am working for. I sat on the phone way to long listening to Muzak, I pressed 1 ect. I need my disc, and I need it right away.
If this is monitoered by xactware a phone # to a real person would help.

MISSING FILE: If anyone from Exactimate is monitoring this site I have a problem. I have to attend Crawford Training on April 11th and 12th, and was to load the program in my laptop prior to training. Well I loaded it and find there is a missing file XM81DL61.DLL. Your tech support on Friday advised that sometimes this file copies and sometimes it doesn't, he said he would immediately email the file. Note: I have Windows XP on my laptop and the tech support advised that the program is not compatible with Windows XP, so I decided to load on my PC with Windows Milleneum. No problem, except the file still did not copy from the disc. NOW MY PROBLEM; YOUR TECH SUPPORT HAS NOT EMAILED THE FILE AND I AM LEAVING FOR CA 4/6/02 AT 3;00PM AND WON'T BE BACK UNTIL 4/10/02 PM WITH TRAINING TO BE 4/11/02 AT 7:30AM IN VA. CAN WHOEVER MONITORS THIS CONTACT ME BEFORE 3:00 TODAY 4/6 AND GET ME THE FILE SO I CAN AT LEAST GET MY PC RUNNING |

I still think that Xactimate 5.8 (DOS) is the fastest most accurate estimating software program out there, and will continue to use it as long as it keeps on ticking. And I have yet to encounter a carrier who will not accept estimates prepared with 5.8 nor a computer which will not run it. |

I thought this might be a better place for this discusion. I use exactimate no choice vendor says use, they pay my bills I use. Would it be my choice, no! Not if I could still use Beockh DOS of even 5.1 As for that horrible grafic mode of printing, I stay away from that and a pity the poor homeowner who has to try and understand an estimate using graphics. But please save me from those pretty rotating houses you can click on. What ever happened to KISS.
