Yes 40 years is a long time in this up and down, chicken today, feathers tomorrow business! I enjoy hearing the stories of my good friend who has not only been in the business 51 years, but he has CONTINUOUSLY made a living at it! He has seen a lot of changes come and go, and he considers himself fortunate that he's never had to flip burgers or greet at Wal-Mart,,,,, or anything other than adjusting,and he's still going strong, climbs roofs with the best of them, handles any type of property claim and is well past 70 years old,,,,what a goal to shoot for!!!

Great article! We have so much power to hurt or to help after a major loss. Taking that extra 15 minutes and showing you care can not only mean a lot to people, it will often save you a lot of time later.
