Tom it seems that Mr. Gordon Smith is a rare find. Forty years is a long time to do anything. Besides having a college degree he has had an unreal amount of professional adjusting training over the forty years. He knows the industry as well as any and better than most in my view. His no nonsense, cut to the chase approach to adjusting may not appeal to some egos yet his simplistic view of adjusting is greatly needed in a time when we developers tend to get hung up on gadgets and details that has nothing to do with job at hand.

By the way, Mr Smith has over 40 years as an adjuster, written two books on adjusting and is currently working on a series of books called after the loss

I would really like to hear from all of you about your experiences with
insurance adjusters. I am especially interested in problems you have
encountered in dealing with adjusters. What are the biggest? Most
frequent? Your pet peeves re: adjusters? How can adjusters improve
their services to you and/or your policyholders? You might also throw
in any funny stories or anecdotes you have about adjusters.

Thanks. Looking forward to reading your responses.
