Well, I am still here in NY and gas is around $1.60 per gallon on average. Have cut expenses considerably by staying with a friend in Manhatten and commuting out to Long Island everyday. Traffic can be brutal some days and the tolls are hefty ($3.50 each way through the Midtown Tunnel) Still better than payin' rent! |

Oldtimer, You are exactly right. And it's not just fuel costs gone out of sight. Lodging and meals are also up. I was slammed once for the concept of each of us recieveing a sum to offset these travel expenses but have come to find out that Renfore & Assoc does indeed pay one way travel expenses. How about that, all you nice folks out there in Vendor-Land? Sure would be a help, particularly to your core group of adjusters. |

Saw on the telly tonight where prices for ethyl have gone up by 50% in the past few months and that Dan Rather feller said we could all expect it to be priced at around $1.80 per gallon by mid-summer. Just wondering if the carriers and vendors are going to pay us more for our added expenses? |
