Cecelia, what would you do if a photo processor messed up you pictures ? Check into a digital camera, in the long run they save you money. Figure the film cost, processing cost, your time going to and from the precessors $ Check out the cost of a Sony Digital, one good storm should pay for it. I have never lost any of my digital photos, and come out ahead cost wise, after all, I can reuse the disk a little later. Not only do I use a digital camer as an adjuster, I have two other business that I use digitals for, we now own three cameras, evey one has not only saved me money, they have increased my profit.

storm pro, is you time not worth $ 40.00 an hour? Plus the time it took you to walk to the store. Always make sure you have extra's of everything you need to save time. I keep an extra of all supplies on had, when it is opened I make sure to stop and repurchase it the next time I am out, has saved many wasted hours and trips. Think smart, plan ahead, value your time, it is the most import commidity that you have.

Ran out of ink jet juice for my HP last night. Walked 10 city blocks (one way) to get to a Staples this AM. Stopped for a bagel and coffee to go on the way back.
Tough time finding a parking space on the street yesterday as I refused to pay $40.00 to park for 24 hours (extra $7.00 for 4x4 vehicle???)
Finally found a spot 3 blocks away after 1 hour.
Enjoyed dinner out last nite - cab to restaurant and subway back. Adjusting well to city life.
All things considered it's better than paying rent

La Junta Colorado, this past summer, had flood claims. N. La Junta was completely underwater for a few days.

There was no sushi. The Italian restaurant (there was only ONE) did not use fresh garlic.
Walmart didn't have one hour photo developing. No one in the whole town had one hour photo developing.

AND there was no cab service to drive you home after steak and wine at the Hogs Breath Inn (I kid you NOT!!!)

But that was ok. All my insureds were staying at the same hotel (the only decent one in town) and THEY drove me home!!!

I am currently working in West Chester County area of NY on some pipe freezing claims. I have a good friend who has put me up at her apartment in Manhatten where I have set up my temporary CAT office in the projects (nice place not a dump) on the West Side. I will be commuting from Manhatten to West Chester (about 30-40 minutes) each day to handle my claims. I have been to NY before but this is going to be my first experiance living here on a day to day basis. It should be fun.

I thought we could open up a discussion on some of the strange or unusual places you folks have set up shop. Look forward to reading the posts!
