Eric, I use two differant software estimating programs. My most recent purchase was Powerclaim which is developed by Gale Hawkins...and a nice piece of work it is Gale. On a recent assignment the insurer actually wanted its independents to write their estimates on forms provided by the insurer, however the insurer did not object to the independents using computerized estimates. I believe the reason(s) they wanted hand-written estimates was because it could be done quicker since the insured's background information and other information provided for in the comuterized estimates was not needed. I am sorry but I cannot help on an estimate of independent adjusters, but Gale Hawkin's estimate is probably as good as it gets. |
