Well the forum is currently running on the new server. Here is a quick status.

While the forum was offline I removed a few posts and a couple of threads however, about 150 post did not make over to new server for some reason, they are not lost, they are still in the old database. I will restore them as time allows. Most of the post that were lost if not all were from the Member's Den, CADO Support Forum and this Announcement area.

We lost 1 user account, Chuck H. you will need to register again. You registered about the time we started the move. Sorry

I still have some cosmetic work to do.

Some of the features that we had before also need to be added back in.

If you get lost moving thru the forums just click on the logo and it will return you to the main page.

[:I]G'day Roy, careful with your cosmetics.

On the forum title page - Moderator column - is this a user function?

If the need arises, be it ever so infrequently, do we pick our favorite moderator, best looking, youngest, oldest, tallest or shorest moderator, etc; or is it for some other purpose?

Hi Clayton,

The moderator column should show the moderators for that forum. If you need to alert a moderator you can choose any in the list to send them a PM. The old moderator alert system is gone, I'm working on a replacment. We had trouble with the old one.

Some of the features that are currently offline.

Spell Check - If you use Internet Explorer as your browser I recommend IE Spell, it spell checks the form fields that you are adding data to. It does more than point out misspelled words it also provides suggestions for correct spellings. I have used for about one year now. It's free. You can find a link to it on the CADO Help desk, http://www.catadjuster.org/home.asp

File upload - This was used to upload photos and files to your message. This will be added.
File Downloads - Will be added as part of the main site and not the forum.
Message Icons and Call outs - I'm not sure if I will add this item back.

Roy, with the repetitive problems you are having with people using multiple user names and accounts - for a multitude of improper uses - as you noted in the Vendor feedback thread, as well as other infractions of the User Agreement which you have had to correct; would it not be a deterent for all of that if you established a "delinquency" thread to name user names and members who are at strike 1, 2 or 3 of the CADO penal process and their status?

We are all quick at the draw to shoot from the hip in the Vendor Hall of Shame thread, for all to see.

Perhaps a preventative deterrent, of a "Member Hall of Shame", may help; in the form of a locked Admin access only thread as noted above.

Clayton, thanks for the feedback however, I will not be listing any names. We will however provide warnings. Of course my objective is not to suspend any accounts. I realize that emotions can run high at times and as you say people will shoot from the hip. I hope with the increase in moderators we will get better at preventing problems.
