How do you set up internet service while on assignment on the road?

What is your preference for an ISP? Can you get a high speed connection in a motel room?

Do you use your home connection as a base and then access it from the road?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Several of us are messing around with 802.11b. I have an antenna, cable and card for my laptop that allows me to pick up radio waves in the 2400 MHZ range. There are many places in large cities where 802.11b can be accessed from a vehicle and a high speed connection to the net made.

Motel 6 has a dial up connection in every room. Some motels have ether net drops for a high speed connection. Some coffee shops have 802.11b wireless for a fee. There is a gym in Jonesboro, AR that offers a wireless connection. There is a data base on the internet called GAWD that has a list of 802.11b sites.
