I'm a newb here as well, but I have had the luck to have a cousin that is an adjuster. I've just spent the last month helping him finish up from the April hail storm here in Dallas. I managed to get on over 90 roofs and have seen and learned alot. Working with him and reading the information on this site has helped considerably. I now at least have a better clue as to what I'm getting into. My work with him has also helped me get setup with a vendor as well. SF IDL coming up the 29th and then their 2 one day classes on estimating and wind and hail in Nov. Should be interesting. Good luck to anyone else getting into this field. I heartily recommend that you hook up with an experianced adjuster to learn if you get a chance. It really makes a difference.
