Just saw a picture, (submitted by an adjuster on a claim,) of a clear plastic, card-sized sheet with various roof pitches printed or etched into the surface. Eye it up to the gable end, and you've got the pitch. Another reviewer thought it might have come from State Farm for their re-inspectors. Anyone know how I can get one, it's just too cool.... :)
they are ok but if your lead get ahold of it and you don't read it right he will send the file back to you. I have sent several back because the adjusters did not read them right. Save yourself some time and hassle and go to Home Depot and get a $4 pitch gauge with the pitchs on it.
I have found the Johnson Pitch & Angle Locator the best tool. I have always purchased it at Menard's for aourn $8, but heard it has recently become available at Home Depot.
