I have a friend who is trying to find a sony mavica fd90 series camera. Does anyone know where they can still be found. Gotta love that 8 x optical zoom.

You should try the FD-97 model, it is 20X. I have been using one for a year and love it. A little bulky, but a great camera

You want the best get a Mavica Sony CD1000, 20x zoom, CD mini disc and 700 photos for $1.00 ON ebay from 350 to 600

I have been using the Mavica FD-91 (14x optical zoom) since 4/99 and it has really saved the day when using a helicopter was the only other option for getting detail shots of a roof. Be careful of the high zoom figures some are advertising; if the zoom isn't optical they are just playing games with the electronics. Some may whine about the weight or bulkiness, but that is like a guy that should weigh 200lbs (but really weighs 275) complaining about carrying a hunting rifle that weighs 9 1/2 lbs instead of 9lbs.
