Vote for your favorite estimating software. If your software is not listed just us know and we will list it.

If you voted for xactimate, have you also used Intergriclaim? If you have used both and like xactimate better, please elaborate. I have used both and have much more experience with xactimate, but found the Intergriclaim much easier to learn.

Are you saying that it's your feeling Intergriclaim is your favorite because it's easier to learn, or because it is overall more your favorite for the actual application of usage over Xactimate?

Both. I like xactimate now that I know it, but it took longer for me to get fast with it than it did with Integriclaim.

I have been working with xactimate since it was a doss program. Windows version is kind of busy, but I like the sketch and once you have your micros set up, it hauls. Never work with the Intericlaim, but have some Buds that like it much.

I have workrd with both and very much prefer Xactimate....Sketch is a very powerful tool and when used properly for interiors and roofs, saves a tremendous amount of time and errors. Also, the grouping tree is great.....once a room or elevation is placed properly in the "tree", you will not miss a room...ever, because when yousplit the screen , the tree is to the left and the line items to the right. With Intergriclaim the screens are way to busy....like Big Bird does estimating........Th edownside to Xactimate are the reports...they are terrible....Would be nice if the NFIP forms worked properly....Proofs.....etc. Also would be nice if Wind storm forms were there for the using.....

I'm most fluent with Simsol and it didn't take long for me to feel comfortable with it so it gets my vote. I've been brushing up on Xactimate since it's driven by some carriers I'm likely to work for and its okay. I've heard good things about Integriclaim, especially for commercial. I'm finding that my preferences are driven by the features and functions that are expected to be used and how they integrate to other tools, primarily in a paperless claim environment. Wouldn't it be great if OUR preferences played a part in the software selection???

I like Integri. best for way to many reasons to sit here & type out. I have been trying to use X for a short time now & so far don't like it. Even went so far as to check into which ins. cos. are prefering Integri. Now I think we need to hear from Five Daily on this one because I think she is proficient at both of the above mentioned. Have used both, and both are good systems. I prefer xactimate as it is carrier driven and sketch is a tremendous asset. It has a few glitches on the management end (audit violations being falsely flagged) but overall it is my choice of systems to use.

Have had to learn Xact, so am comfortable with it now. I agree that Sketch has turned out to be a good thing; now hate to draw a diagram by hand.

I like the other programs bcause they handle other coverages and will integrate the claim and are easy to learn.

I used to use Xact, but am now using Simsol. Although the sketch is not there in the same way, I love the global feature that allows me to add things to multiple areas. Also much easier to dimension a room than sketch. My carrier does not require diagrams except for a total loss fire and roof replacement. I also like the price lists built in and not having to download a new one each time I go to a different area. Considering 80% of my claims are roofs, Simsol works best for me.

I, too, use Xactimate as my primary vendor requires it. Xactimate uses the ability to download price lists as a selling tool. They purport to carriers that this will provide up to date pricing (and cows can jump over the moon).

This entire survey is going to yield misleading conclusions. Folks will mostly vote for the one they are familiar with even though they have never used some or all of the others. If you have only used Xactimate, it would be kinda hard to vote for any of the others. I use Xactimate and Simsol depending on the requirements of a given assignment. Given a choice, I would prefer Simsol, as it is more of an adjuster's program and has more adjuster's tools as opposed to Xactimate being a contractor's program with contractor's tools.
