You Boys are all just way too funny. RFLMAO.
You're all just way too much and each of you is taking yourself way too seriously.
Relax. Have fun. Don't have a cow. Go take a nice long walk. Chill.
Since I don't have a dog in this fight, can I play referee today?
I think all of you are paying way too much attention to a word here and there (isn't that called parsing words?) while ignoring that in different ways, you may all be saying more or less the same thing.
We all share a deep concern and abiding love for adjusting, or else we wouldn't be here. We just sometimes see the world from differing lens borne of our different experiences and expectations.
As the Buddha would say: there are many paths to enlightenment.
Love you all. Peace. |

As usual, the wooden teeth of the founding fathers cannot chew anything that grows from the garden of reality. If they acknowledge any ideas that are conflicting with theirs, they might lose their executive bathroom passes at the nursing home for grumpy old men and the admiration of those who follow. (thats you Ghost)
Do as you always do, and grab some single sentence or word out of my reply and twist it so it fits into whatever one-sided, geriatric riddle you decide to cough up.
I belittle the members of this site? I am the one telling them to keep a positive attitude about their work. You guys give them meaningless limericks and long history of how it was back in the 1800s when you once climbed a ladder. By the way, I have never worked a "smash & grab burglary" cat. Very good real life senario for them to kick around. I'm sure they'll be ready when the call comes.
I guess out of all the ramble above, one remark scares me the most. You want a man named Tom to put on a cheerleader outfit? Yikes!

Sorry JimF. I would have not sent that last shot if I had heard you ring the bell.
I'm all for being civil. Its just hard to sit still when they point the gun right in your face.
I'll try to do better. (smile) |

Damn CatDaddy, now you're stepping on my toes.
I'm not surprised you haven't worked a jewelers block claim just as I wasn't suprised you had no clue what an ISO policy is. Please feel free to go back to being the national expert on your 3 or 4 state farm policies and wallow in your rather small little state farm world of insurance understanding and practice.
When we're talking about advanced policies which multi-line adjusters encounter day in and day out in the real world of insurance, which as we both know, embraces so much more than just 'cat claims', some of us around here are qualified and knowledgeable in handling more than just your run of the mill state farm roof hail claim. But you likely wouldn't understand that, so please feel free to sleep through these advanced discussions or just ignore them.
Go impress your little buddies over at the farm with your chest beating. We've seen it before here and it doesn't impress.
Some of these discussions are just beyond the capacity for one peril and roof thumpers to understand, whether IA or carrier staff.
Some of us around here (Clayton and Ghost instantly come to mind) have FORGOTTEN more about insurance than YOU will ever LEARN!
You're just a wart on the fat lady's ass. |

Cat many of us left the company ranks and management jobs in order to save our souls. And inspite of excerising our right to grip (even an occasional whine) we are here because we wanna be. I know too well the tunnel vision that developes within the company ranks, and the only known cure is an eyectomy operation. |

Mark, aside from thinking of more poignant cures for the malady that you correctly diagnosed; the rest of your comments are so very correct. |

You know Clayton, there are lots of things that IA's can do that staffers can't do.
And you know, the one thing that you and have enjoyed most, is that we CAN and HAVE DONE that which CatDaddy can't do: which is to tell State Farm Insurance to Go To Hell!
Now that's a freedom a staffer could never understand nor appreciate!
Being a staffer is sort of like being a 'Mama's Boy' and living at home and not being able to let go of the apron. |

Wart on the fat lady's ass? Does one of your all-encompassing ISO policies cover the MPC for that lady if she falls and scrapes it off on your doorstep in the middle of the night while she's headed over to give you something that, up til that time, you had been giving yourself?
And make no mistake, my intentions are never to impress any of you. I keep the faith that I may learn some things on this site and I have. So far is only how lucky I really am to be where I am. I have no desire to be led around by a group self righteous, has-beens that only like to hear their own voices.
You also could not fill your bedpan with what you know about me. Hell, I might not even be who I say I am. I might be with the internet police, investigating a group of harry-handed, website degenerates suspected of dressing their under-age male subordinates up in cheerleading outfits and "roasting their tailfeathers" per say. By the way JimF, You have the right to remain silent, etc, etc. Our people should be at your door anytime now. Resistance is futile.
This is like a train wreck. You want to but you just cant look away.
Who else has comments? Lets take this thread and make a freak'n blanket!! |

Catdaddy, what you cannot see is THEIR WAY is the only way. First you have to understand that JimF is a Liberal that knows what is best for all the rest of us. Therefore he cannot allow someone like yourself to tread upon his sacred ground with your ideas be they right or wrong. Just like the liberals everywhere this is his given right. This a mixture of education and self adajolation. OR see how important I am, you cannot live without my help. This is really unfortunate, because both of you have a LOT of experience to empart to the masses on this forum. The truth is catdaddy jim is like a little banty rooster --- he is afraid you may steal some of his chicks.
I dont care if you work for SF [which I despise] or whoever, you obviously have something to impart and absorbe here on this forum and just because you are [new here] please do not have a temper tantrum like Jim has done so many times in the past and leave.
As I said earlier Jim, you abviously need more roughage in your diet.

This day has developed into a darker one than yesterday. I foolishly have been keeping an 'eye' on the posts as I tried to do some other work, resulting in pretty poor productivity again today.
CD, I for one am not a 'has been', and I don't try and portray myself as 'self rightrous'.
If, as you say, you may not be who you say you are - a CatDaddy - perhaps I could fill my bedpan with the residue of your name - Lannie Emfinger.
If Lannie is then the 'internet police', your public relations skills are not being shown to your advantage.
None of this is doing any good for this web site. In your early remarks after finding this web site you did mention your glee in 'stirring the pot' among other provocative statements.
None of that enriches this web site, nor do any of my retorts to those things that I find offensive.
Why don't you start all over and try again? If you are not a 'CatDaddy', then be a Lannie, and use that as the opportunity to put this 'slapping' with words behind you.
I am who I say I am, but I'll also do the same.
The flow of animosity you create might take some time to trickle to a stop, but in the meantime if you ignored it and did not feed it; I think you would find it will stop and stop quicker. |

CCarr - are you going to sit there and just point the finger at me?
I certainly do not start these little episodes. Read the posts that are prior to my "objectional responses". And you of all people, never stand for even the slightest suggestion that someone might be questioning your integrity. Do you think because you were here first, you have the right to respond and I do not. You are wrong AGAIN Clayton.
I am all for civil discussions but dont expect me to sit back and laugh when someone belittles what I do, always referring to carriers and staff adjusters as the problem with poorly handled claims. We all make mistakes. Its time for you and others to realize that and go on with your work.
I noticed you didnt say anything about Justins post prior to yours. It hit too close to home didnt it?

Lannie, I still say, why don't you start over and try again; and I did say I'll do the same.
I never saw much of this 'flapping' as a serious questioning of anyone's integrity.
I certainly wasn't here first, its only been about 18 months that I have frequented this site. It has been in existance for about 6 years before that.
I am confident, and have previously addressed, that I do not see 'my way' as the 'only way'.
Again lannie, please re-read and reconsider the intent of my previous post. |

For what it is worth and funny
Ethel and Mabel, two elderly widows, were watching the folks go by from their park bench. Ethel said, "You know, Mabel, I've been reading this 'Sex and Marriage' book and all they talk about is 'mutual orgasm'. 'Mutual orgasm' here and mutual orgasm' there - that's all they talk about. Tell me, Mabel, when your husband was alive, did you two ever have mutual orgasm?". Mabel thought for a long while. Finally, she shook her head and said, "No, I think we had State Farm. "
