After I kept looking around some more (on monster.com) I found several Cat and regular business adjuster positions... and that was just looking in central Fl. I don't want to persuade anyone from the independence that comes from being an IA, but working for a large company has its benefits, especially in slow years. I am not a recruiter, just an adjuster. But if someone wants to apply for a job with Allstate, let me know first and I might be willing to pass your resume on.

This business is no different from many others. You have to have experience to get a job, but unless you have a job you cannot have experience. One thing is certain. Every adjuster working today has one thing in common, and that is they had to work their first claim at some time. Most companies, understandably, want experienced adjusters, but someone has to let you in at some point, or else you cannot learn. |

I don't know what base pay you may start with(varies w/ experience), but there is a daily catastrophe bonus when you are working cat.
