Concentric.net was my choice. I too keep a free internet service in reserve in case of no access number. I am currently looking at freedsl.com. The Digital Subscriber Line is the wave of the future. 50 times faster than 56k, and they even give you a free 56k nationwide service when you travel. You can do away with your dedicated computer lines too. Bandwidth is so great you can be online all the time and still have regular phone service. Woo Hoo |

I have been using MSN (Microsoft Network) for over 4 years. Had some problems early, but none recently. It is 19.95 a month unlimited, and there are very few places I have not been able to find a local access number ( Williamsport, PA, Beaufort, SC). They are running a special where if you pay for a year, you get six months free. I hate to put more money in Bill Gates pocket, but I have been very happy with MSN for the last three years. |

I have been on AOL for 3 years, It keeps getting worse and worse. It sometimes takes forever to open, getting bounced off, won't allow some browsers to work correctly. They are arrogant when you call in to find a solution. Your computer must have a problem is the usual answer. Does anyone know of a good ISP that has many servers throughout the USA. AS you know, many of us use the net for business e-mail, etc. I keep getting all kind of sex solicitations and AOL intends to do nothing about it. Now I am getting buddy chat sex solicitations while I am typing and that messes up what you are doing. Any input here or recommendations. |
