Gale, there is no way to tell. I'm sure there are thousands of wannabees, ustabees and neverwillbees. This is the independent adjuster database. Real big and a real pain to try to convert so it can be read. They don't make it easy, like everything else in Texas.

Tom is there anyway of knowing what percent of the 38K are just staying registered "just in case" but never plan to adjust a claim as long as their day job last? As far as you know does this list include all types of adjusters or just property? Thanks.

I just downloaded the Texas database of independents the other day looking for Ted Hamilton (if anyone knows his whereabouts please let me know). There are over 38,000 registered independent adjusters in the State of Texas alone. If you add Texas, Florida, California and New York together and double it you would be close.
