I just learned last week, that the other GAB cat adjuster who worked the recent assignment in Chicago with me also slipped and fell from a one story roof. John Lane, was not injured mostly due to rolling out of the fall and due to his excellent physical condition prior to the fall. John is an excellent adjuster and a skilled climber. It just goes to show that you can never be too careful. By the way, is there any irony in both of the cat adjusters working for the same vendor falling on the same storm? |

Two Crawford Adjusters were injured in a fall from a three story roof. The adjusters were experienced with many such climbs in the past. The Crawford Staff Adjuster was on the third story roof and the Texas wind pool/Crawford Catadjuster was going up the ladder. The ladder slipped off the slope on the second story. The adjuster on the third story roof tried to hold the ladder up and it pull him off the roof too. Both adjusters are in the Trama Center in Brownsville. The Catadjusters name is Vince Gagllardi aka Acatman2@aol.com. The insuries to both adjusters were critical and they have been in a Critical Care Unit. As of this time both are expected to recover fully. Your prayers and concerns are greatly appreciated. When they are out of Critical Care and can receive messages notes and emails I will update this forum. Please be careful out there. I know this adjuster and just finished working Hurricane Floyd and the Fort Worth Tornados together. Please be careful.... any moment out there your life could be at risk.. Rick Holt EQKid@aol.com |

DON POLITTE & FELLOW ADJUSTERS: Do not know the particulars but heard also through the grapevine that one of the men is VINCE GAGLILARDI. Heard he went off a three story in South Texas. I am not aware of his condition. Hope someone else will know more and share the information. PAUL B.: Sorry, I will not be able to attend the CADO meeting as I am not in Chicago. Wish I could be there with you fellows. |

Understand it was a Crawford staff and Crawford Cat Adj, one fell from an upper level slope into the other and they both went to the ground. No other particulars regarding height of roofs, injuries. How many in the last two years? |
