Roy I know this was not an easy decision for you but the big ones never are. CADO has matured so much and truly is becoming an insurance portal. More and more I hear from officers in not so small carriers how they follow key subjects and use information they find on CADO to help them make decisions. CADO is a teaching tool I like to use with new staff so they can get a better understanding of the industry. The content of several discussions of late have been very meaty. We are told that the rising tide lifts all ships and I see CADO being a rising tide that is lifting the entire industry, except the ones that tied up at low tide with a short line. It is clear that those of us that are “independent” beyond reason need to realize the industry is changing and bend with the changes instead of being broken by them. It is like one is always shooting at a moving target, not easy but the successes can be sweet. Can any of us image life without CADO? Thanks Roy! |

I have often supported the rights of visitors to make post under anonymous names however, as of 5:00 pm today the Forum will no longer allow post to be made directly by anonymous visitors. The reason for this is based on a couple of things that I have tracked over the last six months. 1) 95% of all post which I have deleted have been made by anonymous visitors. 2) Anonymous visitors often create a conversation and then keep the conversation alive by posting under a different name, sometimes even using their real name to rebut the post that they made under the anonymous name. This gives visitors an impression that something is a big problem or that a lot of people share the view, when in fact it is one person. 3) More than 75% of the negative post are made by anonymous visitors. However, I realize that some good information or information that needs to get out does come from anonymous posters. The poster may still make an anonymous post, however, it will not be posted before it is reviewed. After 5:00 pm today, CST, if you wish to post in any areas of the Forum you will need to use your username and password. |
