Thanks Dave for the link. Boy’ are we in for some pain if premiums do drop by 60% as Jim posted in another conversation. Hawkins Research Inc experienced this in our computer hardware manufacturing division for several years before exiting that business last year in order to focus totally on PowerClaim.
It is almost ironic that our market research in 1996 determined that property insurance adjusters were willing to purchase adjusting software in mass if the cost was dropped by 60%. Thankfully we did not listen to the forces that tried to get us to believe that you adjusters did not know enough to determine the price of PowerClaim.
Based on the research that Jim reported from Booz-Allen & Hamilton it now looks like you guys and gals gut instinct on what the price of adjusting software should be was right on target with what a high-powered research firm may just now be confirming.
Thanks to your uncanny ability to know what the future holds has enabled Hawkins Research Inc to build its current business model based on this 60% decrease in adjusting software cost. This means we will not have to lower our prices as we did in our hardware business where we had been spoiled by the fat margins that quickly melted away. This just drives home the point that “the customer is always right”. Thanks to all. |
