I am betting that NO MAJOR (Cat 3 or greater) hurricane makes landfall in 2002 within the continental US. ("Statistically" the "odds" are on my side). Do I win if I am right? |

Ok Mr. Hood, last year I was a day late and a dollar short (wasn't paying attention). This year I am on time but I am still a dollar short. I am banking on winning the pot to subsidize the measly pittance that claims work is providing now. Lift your glasses and toast the coming season. For the lucky ones it will come and go. Just surviving to see another season is enough reason for me to praise god. Anxiously awaiting the rules! |

Does anyone know what companies are working the ice storm in Kansas? I called GAB Robins but they said that they didn't hane any need for outside adjusters. |

No doubt that hurricanes are what we all look forward to, for monetary and excitement levels. However, if we had to depend on hurricanes to support us, we would all be in trouble. Work hard to learn as much as you are able to, align yourself with a vendor or vendors and work with them in a first class fashion. If you do that then you will not have to depend on hurricanes. Mother nature provides the world with many surprises and dismay. If you have the appropriate reputation for doing it right the first time, you will not have to be that concerned as to whether we have a hurricane of not. Janice and I stayed busy for almost 10 months on large and pocket cat claims in 2001. Now, if we could just figure out how to keep the overhead down. Be a super catter. Know your profession, learn your profession, and treat the people you are working with and for with dignity and respect and you will be fine. Whining about trivial matters is very dis-tasteful and a waste of emotion. Be positive and UP YOUR ATTITUDE}}

And if a hurricane doesn't make landfall this year, we will all win NOTHING. Or it might better be said we will all lose everything. (Message edited by dwongwhey on February 06, 2002) |
