Kelly just send the file(s) that you are having a problem sending to your tech support center of your software vendor and ask them to send it. Once they can send the file without a problem by working backwards to isolate the problem they can inform you so you no longer will have this problem. Then both you and Shelby Vesta will be happy. The file should go as one icon that opens seamless when they click on it. If you keep having problems just email me at gale@powerclaim.com or call at 1-800-736-1246 if you are using PowerClaim. If not then we will ship you a copy or you can download a copy from http://www.powerclaim.com . According to what we are told PowerClaim is now the only property adjusting software package on the market that offers completely paperless and seamless file transfer ability with our new release of 2 weeks ago since it lets you send any supporting documents or special reports that were created outside of PowerClaim now inside of the file and there is only one icon on the email. You even get to determine the order that your file will be viewed and printed by the receiver of the file. All of your standard reports are created by PowerClaim including NFIP and FWUA but there is always that bid from the contractor or some special form that needs to go along with the file that in the past there was just no way of getting it to the carrier inside of your claim file. The receiver does not need to purchase PowerClaim or any other software or hardware to receive your completed files and it supports 50+ digital photos per file. PowerClaim complete with 800 tech/training support and free training videos included on the CD is only $479 per year or less per adjuster or contractor if that question comes up. Now that PowerClaim is the technical leader in the adjusting software industry we plan to stay in that position by continuing to reduce the carriers claims handing cost any way technically possible and make adjusting less stressful and more profitable for each adjuster. As of today there has not been any carrier in the US that has not accepted PowerClaim estimates from adjusters. Some carriers (claims managers) have their preferred software but I know all of the big names have accepted PowerClaim. The fact we only got on the market in 1998 means we are less know than the ones that have been around for 10-15 years. Kelly I think you can see I am sold on PowerClaim. Seriously we will get you a free 30-day copy of PowerClaim and spend the time and effort needed to get you up and making money with PowerClaim when you would like so you can become sold on PowerClaim as well. If you are working for a firm or carrier that buy software for their staff adjusters please let them know we can often save them enough money within the first 1 or 2 years to buy all new computers for their staff plus reduce their overall claims handling cost. We all will see more of technology in the claims handling industry in the years ahead and it is our belief at Hawkins Research, Inc. that the first software firm that makes the technology work right will be the long-term winner. That is why we try harder than other software developers, especially in light of how some adjusting software names in the industry are disappearing from the scene. Life is harder for all players in the industry as the carriers continue to experience steeper loss of profits from underwriting year after year. Kelly again on your question I suggest that you email the file(s) in question to your adjusting software firm and ask them to send them for you and get back with you on the procedure that works seamless for all parties. |

Shelby Vesta now requires all estimates, reports and photos to be e-mailed directly to them. Sometimes I'm successful in complying and sometimes I can't get it sent even if I break the file up. Does anyone have any advise? Is one server better than the other i.e reliability, bigger capacity, quicker uploads etc. Any comments would be appriciated. |
