5260    11/18/2004 11:43:17 PM        5836    JimF, thank you for the memorial site info. Bob. I wrote a short message and it took me 17min. Truly a sad occurrence.

5264    11/19/2004 4:07:12 PM          1640    I cannot comprehend how such an ugly, dirty thing, such as this loss to a beautiful young lady could happen. When we lose a member of our family of adjusters, it hits hard. We are a unique group, even though we tussle occasionally, we still know who and what we are and make amends. How on earth anyone could take a young ladies life like this is just not acceptable. I just ask all of you to be aware of your environment and if you are not comfortable with your surroundings, leave and turn the claim back. Your life is not worth taking the risk, even though we are dedicated to helping others, we must exercise common sense at all times. Most of our citizens are good people, but there are some that are just truly mean and evil. Those types of people we want to avoid, and do everything in our power to assist the police to put them away forever. This is truly a sad event and one that none of us should ever forget. May Katie rest in peace and may her murderer be caught and severely punished.

5265    11/19/2004 7:33:22 PM          1957    Tom, here is a follow up story from today's St Petersburg Times which provides more details about this tragedy as well as reports that murder charges have now been filed by police. **************************************************** Man faces charges in adjuster's slaying Investigators beat a judge's deadline to charge Jason Matthew Funk, accused of killing an insurance worker. By SAUNDRA AMRHEIN, Times Staff Writer Published November 19, 2004 ****************************************************** TAMPA - Haunted by a deadline that could have set a murder suspect free, investigators postponed sleep and pulled long shifts. Thursday night, they got what they wanted: A first-degree murder charge against Jason Matthew Funk. He is accused of killing insurance adjuster Katrina Anne Froeschle moments after the 25-year-old arrived to inspect damage from the summer's hurricanes to the roof of a house in Sulphur Springs. Funk, 27, faces charges of attempted sexual battery with great force while armed, armed robbery and burglary of an auto, according to Tampa police. Since then, blood found on Funk's clothes and the shoes he was wearing at his arrest has been identified as that of Froeschle's in lab tests done by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, said Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. Police also matched a fingerprint to Funk that was found in Froeschle's Chevrolet Impala, which was found a few blocks from Funk's home. ********************************************************** To read the rest of this story, please follow the weblink to the St Petersburg Times website below: http://www.sptimes.com/2004/11/19/Hillsborough/Man_faces_charges_in_.shtml

I hope that the CADO Fund will consider sending flowers or making a donation to the charity of choice for Katrina's family. Please everyone be careful out there. It's a crazy world sometimes.
