Jack, you pose a pretty minimalist question, but perhaps with the stated topic; no more needs to be asked.

Simply stated, a "C&O" report, will be or should be explained with the amount of detail required to both clearly explain the findings and conclusions of the retained "expert"; while at the same time satisfying the thirst for detail and interpretive analysis of the paying client.

As a side note to add to what Clayton has said and reinforce one of his comments: "adjusters" never write cause and origin reports. That is the exclusive domain of the cause and origin "experts" as Clayton has said.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
