| Any adjusters out there working Columbus? If so, have any extensions been given to the April 20th storm date. I'm hearing there may be an extension. |

Days ago you made a broad statement regarding the lack of ethics of adjusters and made reference to kickbacks. What purpose would it serve to provide information entrusted to adjusters from the carrier to a shingle salesman such as yourself ? |

I am a local IA in the Columbus area. Since the area has thawed only a fews weeks ago it is difficult to say what is going to happen. I have received only a few hail claims in the past few weeks, and have been able to actually inspect the claims that came in Jan. Still a lot of roofers in the area, and it would appear that they are moving east towards little or no hail damage. If the storm plays out like the four that I had in Southern Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati, I would assume that claims could be coming in for the next year. I have never had a carrier turn down a reported hail claim from a homeowner unless it goes to about 2 years. However stormer that does not mean that there is hail damage in the east area of Columbus, it just means that some roofer is trying to sell ice to the eskomos. |

| American Home, only been here for a year i focus maily on siding being there is a larger profit margin and there is less debate about the damage |

I don't remember seeing them either, but the way that each roofing/siding company sets up in separate sub-divisions you may never see them if you don't handle claims in the sub-division. |

| I have been working the storm in the Columbus area since July.And i can say,with honesty, that there is hail damage on the east side of Columbus.From I-270 out to pickerington.There is also light,very light damage in the southern part of the city. |

I looked at a couple of claims last week near Pickerington. Found some denting to aluminum siding, but it looks as if the roof is newer then 10 years old then there is not any damage. Any damage down near Pickerington is from 7/8/03 storm that did not cover that large of an area, nor was the hail as big as 4/20/03 or 11/10/02. |

| Hail in Pickerington is more likely from November 2002. We worked several claims in that area from the 11/10/02 storm, mostly small and not much damage. |

Sorry you're right. The 7/8/03 storm was in Bexley area. I did see major damage in southern Columbus from 11/10/02, but most of it was in economically disadvantged area where not alot of claims were presented. |

| Was there from 4/03 until 11/03 and was ready to get home but now with the lack of activity anywhere else I'd go back. Unfortunately most of whats left is being pushed by shingle salesmen in areas w/out much damage. Friends of mine still there are writing denials on most of what they look at. Never saw any damaged property from the pea sized hail from July or August. |
