Hi Roy, yes, it is a more rocky ride to navigate; since about Wednesday.
Wednesday evening I had a long period of no access, with the same error message I got several months ago "DNS or server error". The same happened for a while Thursday morning.
During Thursday and Friday, once into CADO, to click from forum to forum, I got that "site unavailable, DNS .... error" message.
Yesterday, I noticed that the "active forums" was not picking up some posts, in its summary.
The "back button" won't work consistently. To leave a forum and go back to the forum index, the back button (always previously never failed) but recently I'm getting an error message that I have to refresh or something to that effect; and as a result it seems the way around that is the more time consuming hit to the active topics button to start over.
When I've posted in the last 2 or 3 days, it says successful, then shows it to you, but clicking the "back" button creates an error message.
While I'm at it I'll add by edit, that it seems to be very noticeably taking much longer in the noted few days to reload a page or whatever it is called. To click from page to page, and have it come up is quite a bit longer, plus there seems to be 4 or 5 seconds of 'lingering' on a blank page before it pops open and clears allowing to scroll or whatever.
All of the above are cummulative only in the last 3 or 4 days. |

Same here too Roy.
What has been especially painful is trying to access Private Messages which generally takes forever to load, and then I get a message that they cannot be accessed because the server can't be found.
I am also getting an email whenever I have a PM but there is no message attached, only the header.
Like Clayton, these problems have all been since around Wednesday. I thought it was just me and my durn computer. I'm a dinosaur when it comes to technology. |

Under the ICA experiences forum I can only read the first post & get the following message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e57'
String or binary data would be truncated.

Can we please go back in time to 1999? Or, even better, 1972! |

About every other time I try to log on to CADO, the message pops up that the site cannot be found. Then when I am able to access the site, some of the pages are not accessible and the same message is given that the site cannot be found. |

Ditto to all of the above plus a message that says "web site does not exist" |

Jim and Todd, those errors were a couple that I hoped went away after the change in servers. Based on my log records the site has not been down since the move three days ago. I also have a service that checks the site every 20 minutes to make sure that it is up, working and reachable and they have not reported any down time.
We moved the site from a shared environment to a semi-dedicated environment and increased all of the hardware resources, performance should be better.
Since the move I have not had the "site not found" error. I will keep checking for problems and if you have any additional info related to your problems please let me know. |
