I got to say this site has grown in the past few days. We are getting more participation and becomming more aquainted than we had in the past. This is truely becomming the club house I was hoping for. I am learning more from these true to life experience stories than I had before. The activity has increased and it has become a pleasant place to hang out and learn. It has truly become a place to learn, hone skills and have a fellowship second to none. I am looking forward to meeting everyone I can at the Convention. Any one have the ZIP code for the Bermuda Triangle. is it 00666?
Newt, I echo your feelings, the level of posts has improved and I feel it is becoming a better place to hang out. Let's keep it up! It seems as if some of the more educational topics are dying.
When I first saw this thread, thought it might be for home schoolers.
As parents of 9 children, Robyn and I use a one room school house.
Although I am gone often, Robyn and the kids continue to school at home. I have had the opportunity to take some of the older ones with me on assignment. Our first great experience in adjusting was when Gary Johnson took our oldest (16 at the time) Kris to Hurricane Andrew. We saw a golden educational opportunity for Kris. Those 10 weeks changed his life!!! We required Kris to photo and video journal his experiences. Upon his return we had about 40 friends and family over for his oral report.
Adjusting fits our family very well.
The times away are extremely difficult. I could not do it without my Beautiful Bride, Robyn.
