HI EVERYBODY OUR COMPANY IS COLORADO DENT COMPANY AND WERE BASED IN HIGHLANDS RANCH, COLORADO. HAIL SEASON IS NOW UPON US AND WE ARE PREPARING TO OFFER OUR SERVICES ABROAD. UNLIKE SOME OTHER WEAK PDR CO'S OUT THERE, WHO MAINLY CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH $$$$$ THEY CAN STUFF IN THEIR POCKETS SEASON BY SEASON, WE HAVE BUILT OUR RETAIL STORE (SAME LOCAL SINCE 1991) AND BODY SHOP CUSTOMERS ON THE PREMISE OF CAREING ABOUT BOTH PEOPLES BUSINESS. WE NOW NEED TO ATTEND TO THE INSURORS BUSINESS BY MAKING THE PDR CLAIMS PROCESS FOR DAMAGED VEHICLES STREAMLINED, WITH AS LITTLE SUPPLIMENTING AS POSSIBLE. TO HELP WITH THIS I HAVE INVESTED IN A LAPTOP W/ALL THE PROPER MS BUSINESS PROGRAMS,DIGITAL CAMERA,AND A NEW ESTIMATING PROGRAM (THAT I AM CERTIFIED IN BY VALE NATIONAL)CALLED DENT ESTIMATORS(WWW.DENTESTIMATORS.COM)I SHOULD ALSO GET A MOBILE PRINTER!
CAN ANY BODY GIVE ME SOME SOLID ADVICE ON HOW WE CAN REALLY STAND OUT AND HELP DURING A CATASTROPHY ABOVE AND BEYOND OUR PDR SERVICES? WHO ARE THE PEOPLE WE NEED TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES TO (CAT TEAM MANAGERS? LOCAL CLAIMS MANAGERS?) AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK W/THE KIND OF HARDWARE I AM GOING TO NEED TO BE A LIAZION BETWEEN BODYSHOPS AND INSURORS DURING A BIG STORM? |

You'll certainly stand out by your use of ALL CAPS which is considered to be 'screaming' and 'rude' on the Internet.
You'll also stand out if your send out your message as above without using a spell check program. |

A) Dont YELL we can hear you.
B) Contact the carriers auto claims departments and announce your presence with a price list.
C) Get famliar with the going prices in the loss area, and establish a presence there.
D) Submit your service options to all of the auto/truck dealers in an affected area.
Thats just for openers. |

Heres a suggestion. When you see a big tent with cars driving under it and estimators running around with pen-tabs writing estimates, DON'T go on over and introduce yourself and try to strike up a conversation with the estimators. They don't care, they are too busy and all you will do is make yourself and possibly your industry the last that any of them will mention to an insured. Insurance companies will not send hail claims directly to you if that's what you are looking for. If you want to drum up some business simply get a good location and pay for some advertising. If you want to make a contact in the insurance business go to the agents. That's who the insureds know and trust anyway. Plus agents love to talk. Have fun. |

nothing is wrong with all cap letters, it's catches your attention like it did, evidently. Give the guy a break, he nicely just asked for advice. NOT rude comments.
Thanks |

Hopefully, you will find the following information helpful and not too marketing oriented. You should be aware of two programs offered to PDR companies as well as adjusters and insurers. Two years ago, Vale National Training Centers, Inc reviewed a hail damage estimating program called DentEstimators. The program fulfilled all of the criteria we considered important to produce an accurate and thorough hail damage estimate for PDR. We endorsed the program and currently offer a one-day seminar in PDR estimating using that software. You can contact DentEstimators at www.DentEstimators.com or go to our site at www.valenational.com for more information.Being knowledgeable in estimating hail damage for PDR is a valuable skill for adjusters, insurers and repairers. Last year, Vale National was contacted by several individuals known as expert-level PDR technicians and asked to develop a PDR technician certification program. Our role was that of an industry-neutral party to offer a certification that would recognize various skill levels of PDR technicians. We have developed and now offer a PDR Technician Certification program since 1-2-04. Our list of 114 PDR Technicians who have tested and become certified is available on our website as well as all of the testing criteria. Go to www.valenational.com/tech.html Read about the Testing Criteria, which would be too lengthy to include in this posting. Our goal is to inform the insurance and repair industries of our skill-level testing program and to present to them and the vehicle owners a professional PDR technician who has certified their skill to practice PDR. Hope this gives you some information to help market your company to the users of PDR services. |

Thanks Steve, everyone appreciates all you have done and continue to do for our industry (PDR). There is a world of difference in a PDR tech that has been evaluated by an unbiased third party (and the LMI D-Sight sensor), with no monetary interest in whether a tech passes or fails, and a tech that is "self-certified" by the company they work for. It's too bad we can't get the same kind of "industry-neutral party to offer a certification " for property adjusters.

Hey William, the DentNetwork has over 40 Vale Certified independent hail technicians assembled under our umbrella for catastrophe repairs. We utilize this certification as a selling tool to our insurance clients and customers. It also establishes legitimacy to our industry and a sense of artistic pride to those who pass the certification tests. Hats off to Vale for improving the perception of qualified PDR techs...JMO. |
