160 MPH and building. Jim this is perhaps a little more East than you had in mind but it is a big one. The image on the USA Today site is impressive. Top winds for Bilis (18W, also known as Isang) rose to 160 mph Tuesday, Asian time, making the storm a 'supertyphoon.' Forecasters expect that Bilis will gain even more strength as it moves northwest toward Taiwan. Bilis will likely hit the island Wednesday before threatening eastern China. Updated Aug. 21 |

With all of the many CADO Members and readers we have scattered around the country, now is a good time to remind you that we have a wonderful opportunity with this website to have our readers post approaching hurricane and damage reports to the CADO website in real time. Those readers especially on the East and Gulf coasts can provide an invaluable service by monitoring your local radio and television stations and then posting the news to the CADO Bulletin Board. Please think about joining us in this venture this hurricane season. It is our CADO way of being first on the scene with damage, storm, and access reports. |
