Gale, unfortunately the online classes are not inexpensive, but given what you are getting, a good buy for the money. The cost of the AIC 35 textbooks is $121.00 plus an additional $26.00 for an optional video concerning Business Income Loss. The cost for taking the exam is $120.00 if the student registers early. The cost for the online class is going to be $270.00 as I recall. |

I would like to share the following news release from the American Institute of Certified Property Casualty Underwriters concerning an opportunity for some of our newer readers to enroll in AIC 35 - Property Loss Adjusting Online classes for the Fall of 2000: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The American Institute of CPCU is pleased to announce that Jim Flynt, well known to many on the CADO Page, will be developing and teaching the first Online Class for AIC 35 - Property Loss Adjusting beginning on July 28, 2000 with completion scheduled for November 17, 2000. Jim was selected to develop and teach this pilot online course from among several insurance industry finalists based on his knowledge, experience, and interest in education and teaching of new adjusters. Registration is available for the first 20 students after June 1, 2000. Students may register on or after June by calling the American Institute of CPCU at 1-800-644-2101 or at http://www.aicpcu.org The AIC 35 Property Loss Adjusting class is one of 4 which, if successfully completed by passing of examinations, lead to achievement of the AIC (Associate in Claims) designation. The AICPCU hopes to institute online classes for the other 3 AIC courses within the very near future.
