Some BIG hail the past week in Kansas and Missouri.  Record hail stone in KS last Wednesday and another huge round of storms in the western Kansas City area on Saturday night. We have analyzed both of these storms and show thousands of homes affected by large hail.  In interested in feedback and areas that had the largest hail.  We have had feedback that hail went through roofs in Wichita but only 3-4 stones per roof with no other hits.

That sounds about right for Wichita. I am currently in Oklahoma City, wrapping up from the large hail storm from May 16th. I took a quick run to Wichita and visually confirmed the size of the storm. Probly not going to be much work. There was large hail, but not in very large amounts.

New adjusters you will learn something from these out break of large hail in a large area of the midwest. If you are not called out, it,s not that you will not do a good job; but you are an unknown. Several thousand experienced adjusters on roof claims are ahead of you in this long line.

Ray, I don't think it necessarily means you are unknown if you do not get deployed to one of these hail events. Actually spoke to my dispatcher a couple days ago about this very subject. She said its a volume of claims thing. Your proximity to the event also helps. My feeling is that a team manager/trainer being deployed also weighs in on the decision of these companies. I don't think they want to send you to a CAT if they don't have anybody there to assist you on your first storm. I'm still somewhat of a rookie (2 ground assistant assignments after Ike), but I'm 100% certain that I'm not an unknown.
