Sorry to have started something. I'm sure Mr Cook was in a way teasing about "others opportunities" and was not defending his statement. His statement was true it does not need defending. We all know its true yet the carriers and vendosr keep on calling them out and not doing anything to find a solution to an age old problem. Reread my post we agree I just call it like I see it. So in short Mr Cook was joking . Check his posts you will see that he knows his stuff and that he is a good guy. Some on this site even go to him with questions. I was defending him against a statement made against him. I would do (and have done in the past)the same for anyone else on this board that I respect.

"Then maybe your remark is not meant as disrespect, and it only illustrates the fact that you have just worked with "adjusters" who believe that because they climb a roof they are adjusters" Be careful I've worked with some of the seasoned adjusters on this board. Go into any cat office for Ike and test the adjusters on policy and construction. Most of the adjusters that strictly work cat will be weak on policy matters some even weak on construction. I have not stated that it is bad to just be a cat adjuster. It is what it is unless a cat adjuster has worked as a staff adjuster, handled overflow claims as an IA or pushed himself do learn more policy info/adjusting procedures than they will always be a little weaker.

The bottom line is like Larry ,I have a pet peeve. It is when people judge others on their professionor place in life rather than their character and performance.

If you write your reports and diary entries the way you wrote your question, this will be your first and last cat.  And, if you know nothing about file management, roofing, water damage, etc, you will be way over your head in no time.

You have a lot of training to do.

I wish Roy would bring the "Red Hand" back.

I could ignore all kinds of folks that way.
