Just kidding. Chuck have you heard/seen any developments on a carbon fiber ladder?

How are you going to carry this 32ft ladder when on site? You can't pull a 5th wheel with a ladder rack on the bed of your truck. If it's a tag trailer, this is easy.

Install a series of open-ended boxes underneath that you can slide the ladder into. Attach these boxes to the framework of the trailer, that is open underneath and arrange them so the ladder stays above the axles. The axle movement is minimal and should clear with no problem. If the axles do touch the ladder at full movement, the ladder will act like a "stop" and there shouldn't be any damage.
I've tried to describe this without a drawing and sometimes my communication skills suck. Hope you understand what I'm trying to describe.

I have the same issue. Once the fifth wheel is in the campground, I can carry the ladder on my truck using my removable Hauler Rack ladder carrier. The issue is to get the ladder TO the cat site with the fifth wheel. Fortunately, my 28' ladder does (barely) fit inside my camper, but I want to use a 32' in the future.

I have heard of a man using "U Brackets" mounted under the frame, where the ladder slides under the flooring, but over the axles. I would think that as long as the ladder isn't any 'lower' than the sewer pipes, axle travel should not be an issue.

I have been advised by the fifth wheel manufacturer that the ladder should never be connected to the axles, or even be allowed to come into contact with the axles when you go over bumps/potholes.

I have removalable ladder racks for the truck. I am going to remove the plastic used on the bottom of the RV and weld something uderneath.
