So, Steve, two years later, are you an auto adjuster? How did it go back then? Like it? Hate it? Still doing it?

Pilot schools have been as good as anyone's through the years and I have no reason to believe this has changed.

Most of the instructors are adjusters/managers that thoroughly understand the subject matter and the courses are prepared by teachers/educators.

Couldn't be better and tell 'em I said "Hi"

Well Larry, I am all signed up for July 2012 orientation/classes. It is a 10 day event now. I am told that it consists of a day or two watching to see how I do and decide if they even want me or not then several days of different training for different providers they serve.

Hopefully it will go so well that I will go to work right away and not have time to post a follow up and in 2 years some other newby will ask me on this forum how it went!

I will definitely tell them you said "hello". Wait, this isn't a set up for the new guy, is it? Mentioning your name won't get me thrown out of the building with extreme prejudice will it??? :)

    Thanks,
    Chad

    Uh.............well.................uh..........................

    Seriously,
Keep your business face on and pay attention. Take a notebook of some kind and write down the stuff you think is important and the stuff you don't understand. Hopefully, it's different stuff.

Be on time, be neat, be who you are.

Larry, Jick Jimmerson said to say hi. He said he knew your name but didn't elaborate. But he only does auto and mostly teaching now I think.

So for those that might read this post in the future, all I can really say is that Pilot seems to be a first rate company. I have never been to an area where a local company gets so much attention or positive references from the locals. I was blown away with how much Pilot gives back to the community. And not to mention EVERY person I met there was extremely helpful and pleasant.

The instructors, there were 2, are very seasoned people. Full of stories, anecdotes, and hows and whys. If you can't learn from these guys, then you have bigger issues. I am supposedly Allstate and American Family auto certified now. We'll know how much I picked up when I get out there in the real world but I gotta say the materials and instructions were great. Very informative.

If anyone has any questions, just drop me a line. I would be happy to talk to anyone about my experiences so far.Who knows, I may never get the call but I can sure tell you how great the classes were!

     Thanks,

    Chad

    Chad,

This just reinforces my position that Pilot is on top. This is not a bad thing as it causes the other IA firms to step up or step aside. The Pilot company and family supported me and my family for many years.
