In 2008 out of the deliberate actions of a handful of Property Claims Adjusters with growing concerns about the increasing risks of accessing pitched roofing systems within the modern housing industry, the Association for Certified Ropes Access Building Assessment Technicians (ACRABAT) was initiated.
-
Their goal is to reduce the threat of personal injury from pitched roof system inspection by promoting uniformity standards for rope access worker skills and knowledge.
-
As you may (or may not) know, ten years ago, much of the claims industry attempted to curtail the levels of incidents, injuries and fatalities with training based on the Sport Climbing equipment and techniques (some still do). ACRABAT was the first organization to establish rope access standards for Property Claims Adjusters based on criteria accepted by the worldwide Rope Access Community (basically Rope & Harness professionals interested in work access safety not rock climbing).
-
ACRABAT Rope Access Certification provides instant recognition and credibility to the Property Adjusters who carry it. Today, ACRABAT certified rope access workers represent the highest standard for this very specialized form of technical achievement.
