Can You Name this Shingle?

I received this photo from a fellow adjuster working in Arkansas, asking what kind of shingle this is, and I don't have a clue. It's the same thickness as a 20 year 3-tab. If anyone can identify it please e-mail me with the information. Thanks, Jimbo jmcmennamy@yahoo.com

The chinese have a similar product. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/2...ngles.html It shouldn't be too difficult to find the US supplier.

I actually saw some like this in '06 when I was in Arkansas. I found a source at the local Lowes or Home Depot, and found a price. The roofing I inspected may have had more of a a squared off tab, but basically the same. I know the voices aren't real, but sometimes they're right!

This Hex shingles was very popular back in the 30's and 40's. You still see them on occassion. I think they can be orderd through Lowes or Home Depot. Dow Corining still makes them. The house my Granfather and Grandmother lived in back in the 50's had this shingle. That looks like a Corning Birds Eye Shingle if so, stout quality but high $$

I have always called these "scallop" shingles. Gimme a bottle of anything and a glazed donut ... to go! (DLR)

I could've swore that was an Atlas shingle, but it must be discontinued because I can't find anything on the web on this shingle. The cost of materials for that, it seemed like it was in the range of a 40 year laminate shingle, give or take. I'll let you know if I find an old brochure or sample board.
