    Hello Everyone,

I have been waiting for a storm all year and of course we haven't had a large event affecting the CONUS.  However say a prayer for those in Mexico and the Caribbean that have been adversely affected by tropical cyclones this year.  The year is not over but with this trough over the SE it doesn't look good....

Anyhow my question has to do with the validity of an independent adjusting firm who has sent me a packet to fill out prior to being contracted to do daily work.  I am in need of work bad (even though I am on several call lists, including Renfroe and NADO) so I am considering filling out this packet he sent me.  However I went to the forum and found that there is no feedback regarding this company (Insure-Aid).  I then did a Google search and found their website, which is kind of bare (that's not necessarily a bad thing).

I am wondering if anyone knows anything about this IA firm, Insure-Aid.  They appear to be out of Boulder, Colorado.  He apparently has need of good field adjusters in the Fla. panhandle.  I found their classified here but I just don't know anything about them and they are requesting my social security number and address, etc in the employment packet.  I'm just trying to be careful about applying.

Does anyone else work for Insure-Aid?  Any info on them would be greatly appreciated.  I hope they are reputable and they have enough claims to feed me a few daily claims a month.

Also, keep hope alive folks.  The SST hasn't stopped kicking big storms off of the horn of Africa and who knows, the water is still warm and a weak high pressure is suppose to be setting up along the gulf coast, so it may not be all over yet.

Insure-Aid is a very good vendor. Never worked for them, but know many who have.

I haven't worked for Insure-aid but many of my members having taken their Citizens certification through them and I have heard nothing but positiv e things about them.

You mentioned being on NADO's roster, agin I have never worked for NADO or any names these folks have done business under, but I have had again a few of my members get some certifications through them including a Citizen's "Mentor program" which as of yet has not taken place, but I have heard several folks state they have been burned by NADO and have still not been paid.
I must tell you that I don't have any first hand information as to the validity to these claims other than those who have made the claims are reputable and well respected.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback and I have already followed up with calling them up in Boulder. I hope things work out with Insure-Aid. Even though that large hailstorm hit Phoenix I would much rather stay here and get daily claims. Being a Vale Tech grad w. years of experience I know that I am better off working a few daily claims and continue my good reputation while hopefully building a good book of daily claims volume by consistent, reliable daily work. I have lived off of catastrophe in the past but I think I would be better off working daily and having a consistent job with an active diary as opposed to waiting for a big storm or running off for 40 claims in Phoenix only to come back to see that I have lost the opportunity to build a good book of daily claim business.

You guys are terrific and you have definitely helped me in my decision making. Have a great week and I wish the best for you all.

I have worked for Insure-Aid off and on since 2005, and they are great to work for.  I ended up transitioning to some other vendors' lists because Insure-Aid does not do much now outside of Florida.  But they are a good group to work for if they ask you to get on their list.

RJortberg, thank you for your October 7th post that Insure-Aid is "great to work for."

Although, you have only serviced claims for Insure-Aid in Florida, Insure-Aid continues to have contracts/agreements with insurance companies in other states. Since 1976, Insure-Aid has serviced tens of thousands of claims in Florida and other states and continues in this endeavor.

You indicated you were in the process of getting on other vendors lists, I encourage you and all adjusters to be on as many reputable vendors' lists as possible.
