I hate to answer my own post, but...... HUGE earthquake just know at about 9.11 PM California time. We were really rockin' and rolling here in Downey outside LA, and I was on the phone with my wife who was driving in Santa Ana, 45 minutes away, she could feel it while driving, so I know this was a big one. Growing up here I have been through many but this one was strong.

Well I guess it wasn't so big after all but the one story building I am in was REALLY shaking and we are pretty far from the epicenter. Go figure.

Wasn't so big but it was relatively shallow hence the exaggerated rolling effect.

Nevertheless, we should be very cautious with regard to the upcoming few weeks. We have had a few quakes (well we have hundreds of quakes every day but most are so small) lately that have registered higher lately. Seems the Pacific Ring of Fire has been quiet for too long in the North American area. All others areas have had their releases (Japan, Chile', Sumatra,) we are overdue..........
