I have not used it to write an estimate with but thanks to Chuck we did give one out to each person that attended the CADO Convention in 2001. I did not realize that you could get daily price updates.
Jennifer it is the same software that comes free with the Craftsman databases from my understanding. By cutting and pasting you can build up a computerized estimate in a word processor like Word. For reporting, photos, diagramming and email mailing of files would require other software from my understanding but I have to agree it is a fact that on CADO Chuck is the most experienced with that software.
Gale, from what I see on the program you are correct. The daily price dates are available after around noon. Seems like a neat feature, but I bet drywall prices don't changem uch day to day.
Installed on your laptop the Home Depot CD make a useful tool. A data scource unavailable anywhere else.
Addditionally the Craftsman estimating book and program can be downloaded for about $15. The two used in conjunction with an estimating program is powerful.
