I HAVE NOT YET OBTAINED AN ADJUSTERS LICENSE, I WAS TOLD IN MY HOME STATE INDIANA A LICENSE IS NOT NEEDED,I AM CONFUSED ABOUT THIS, I ALSO HAVE BEEN WORKING IN THE ROOFING AND CONSTRUCTION BUISNESS FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW, I HAVE MET SEVERAL ADJUSTERS, MY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY SPECIALIZES IN INSURANCE WORK, I KNOW I AM CAPEABLE OF DOING THE JOB ON AN ADJUSTER,
I AM WONDERING IF THERE ARE ANY ADJUSTING COMPANYS THAT WOULD HIRE SOMEONE WITH OUT A LICENSE AND HELP THEM GET ALL THEIR LICENINGS AND CERTIFICATES,

Mathew, My advice is get a License from a state such as Texas that has a recip agreement. ICTC is an excellent resource (see Ad on CADO}. I don't have any idea about your area so there may be a resource near to you. Its an uphill thing and you got to really want it to prevail. There is no promise and you may or may not get work.

I started seven months ago, don't consider myself an adjuster yet, and I have a long way to go. I was hoping to throw my hat in the ring as a "hey boy" in five or six more months. I work at this very hard and still there is no concrete gaurantee I'll ever be hired.

I don't want to burst your bubble, however I wouldn't want you to be misled either. You can do it if you are determined and set some goals.

Dear roof pro ,Indiana does not require an adjusters licence as such.Having worked claims here for 20+ being a roof pro does not an adjuster make.I refer to the post on what is an adjuster,on our web page.Being able to replace the r/f fender, does not qualify you to drive the race car.As you review this web page please note the issues we talk about, all are complex at best. Not to burst the bubble, the are several carriers the use prefered contractors. If however you go out of state you will be required to know the meaning of Indeminity.I am listed in the directory and will be happy to assist you at any time.
