Office Approves Removal of up to 45,500 Policies from Citizens Roy / Friday, April 10, 2015 / Categories: Insurers Florida Office of Insurance Regulation TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (Office) has approved the removal of up to 45,000 personal residential policies and 500 commercial residential polices from Citizens Property Insurance Corporation (Citizens) by the following two companies: (editor's note: Citizens had 595,671 Policies in Force as of February 28, 2015) 1. Heritage Property & Casualty Insurance Company – approved to remove up to 20,000 personal residential policies 17,326 Personal Lines Account 2,674 Coastal Account 500 commercial residential policies (472 Commercial Lines Account and 28 Coastal Account) 2.
