My insurance career began May 1990 with a National Adjusting firm in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. After a one-year position as support staff, I obtained my Letter of Authority and began training as an Insurance Adjuster. In November 1996 I moved onto a local brokerage office where I obtained my Insurance Brokers License and worked in the claims department. After two years in this employ I was approached by a new adjusting firm opening in the Fort Frances area. This position was accepted and I was instrumental in setting up and opening the office, as well as handling various losses and office management. In 2000 I decided to expand my insurance career further by opening my own Adjusting Firm in International Falls, MN. My experiences handling losses in Minnesota has broadened my claims handling experience and knowledge. Our office uses the Powerclaim Adjusting program, which allows for damage estimating, photo management, report writing, invoicing.


As an independent adjuster handling claims in Northwestern Ontario and Minnesota, I have gained a vast amount of experience in all types of losses. The following is a sampling of some of these types of claims handled:

• Large residential fires
• Successful cause determination investigations
• A variety of claims including:
• Catastrophe Hail Damage Claims
• Catastrophe Sewer Backup / Water Damage Claims
• Catastrophe Wind Damage / Tornado Claims
